Welcome!
Penny Road Community Church was recognized by the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a church on May 5, 1983. The first service was in a house near the present location of our church building. The first pastor was Randy John Hobson who now pastors a church in Mt. Sterling, Ky. Penny Road church was born when a few people longed for a place to worship where the Holy Spirit could have total liberty. Today we continue to be a place where we welcome the presence of God, by His Spirit. The church membership has changed a great deal in the past 25 years. There have been 8 pastors of whom I am the eighth. On June 15, 2008, we celebrated my 5th year as pastor. Although there have been so many changes in personel, the presence of God has been constant. We are a full gospel church with many ministries and outreaches in our community and around the world. We have been blessed by God to help people in need and be supportive to other causes. By Gods' mercy and grace we have been able to raise thousands of dollars for the American Cancer Society (Relay for Life), American Red Cross (Hurricane Katrina), Shelby Valley High School (Relay for Life, baseball program, and band program), as well as supporting Gideons' and others. I am a believer that the more God calls you to do, the more he calls you to be of service to others. We are a church that strives to minister to the entire family, with opportunites for all who desire a closer walk with the Lord and to be used by Him. We are blessed with a dynamic worship team who understands what it means to 'flow with the Spirit'. We desire that if you visit us, worship will not only be something you hear, but something you experience. This year we took the slogan,"A Church Without Walls". Walls seperate people, but the love of God is able to penetrate even the most hopeless of people or situations. We would be happy to have you visit with us and you are always welcome at Penny Road Community Church. God bless you, Pastor Burnin White
